Is Your Past Still Troubling You Now?

Do you find yourself constantly thinking about something that happened a while ago? You just can’t seem to let it go.  It’s affecting you now and even though you want to put it behind you – it’s there everyday in your thoughts, affecting your feelings, your mood your behaviours.

I see a lot of this in my therapy room.  Sometimes it is a past relationship that’s bothering them – they just can’t let go or accept that it’s over. Other times its an experience or event that happened and the after effects are causing anxiety, lack of confidence or unwanted thoughts and feelings.

If you think of your unconscious mind as a filing system of everything that has ever happened to you.  This past event is currently sitting in your ‘inbox’  or ‘current’ file for processing, whereas it should be filed in the archives with all the other experiences you have had that do not negatively affect you anymore.

Using hypnosis alongside other psychotherapy techniques, we can ask your unconscious mind to file this event where it belongs – in the past – so you can keep any learnings from that old experience, yet neutralise any negative emotions that have been affecting you in the present.

We can turn you around so that you stop walking backwards through life, gazing upon the past and help you to look forwards to the wonderful things you can have in your future.
